“Dear children! Today I call you to begin to pray the Rosary with a living faith.
That way I will be able to help you. You, dear children, wish to obtain graces, but you are not praying.
I am not able to help you because you do not want to get started. Dear children, I am calling you to pray the Rosary and that your Rosary be an obligation which you shall fulfill with joy.
That way you shall understand the reason I am with you this long. I desire to teach you to pray.
Thank you for having responded to my call.”
December 25, 1982…”You have forgotten that through prayer and fasting you can avert wars and suspend the laws of nature.”
Gospa has recommend fasting on Wednesday’s and Friday’s. As we all know fasting is not always easy. Fasting requires a desire to offer sacrifice. It also requires a great deal of discipline. The Catholic Church guidelines tells us that little children and the elderly are not subject to the rule of fasting, but for those who are within the guidelines, fasting should be a part of life. For those who just can not fast on bread and water they can offer other sacrifices. Medjugorje visionaries have spoken a lot about this subject in interview. They say that although a fast of bread and water is best, those who can not do this can offer other things that they enjoy in their daily lives.
Acts of apostles 2, 17- 21 and Luke 19, 38-40
Acts of apostles 2, 17-21
17 In the last days — the Lord declares — I shall pour out my Spirit on all humanity. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your young people shall see visions, your old people dream dreams.
18 Even on the slaves, men and women, shall I pour out my Spirit.
19 I will show portents in the sky above and signs on the earth below.
20 The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the day of the Lord comes, that great and terrible Day.
21 And all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
