New iPhone 8 with bezel-less screen display and a Touch ID placed on the rear of the device, leaked images show that Touch ID placed underneath the Apple logo on the back of the phone.
“The images, which could be a prototype of Apple, were leaked by a source in China, the site said. iPhoneros said the source has previously sent over images that were proved accurate on multiple occasions, adding the individual has never sent them false information. The iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled in September, as usual, but may face release date delays due to the nature of these new designs.
The leaked iPhone 8 images also show a vertically-aligned dual-camera system on the back of the phone, which has been previously rumored before. The new look would differ from the current horizontal placement on the iPhone 7 Plus.
Other reports claim the iPhone 8 will come with an edge-to-edge screen display with an embedded Touch ID on the front of the device. Apple was granted a patent for an edge-to-edge display and another patent for a Touch ID embedded in the display screen, it was discovered last month. Also in May, leaked images of alleged iPhone 8 molds suggested the device will not come with a Touch ID on the back.
Apple’s 10th-anniversary phone, which could also be called the iPhone X, iPhone Pro or iPhone Edition, is also rumored to come with a 3D-sensing front camera and wireless charging. The phone is expected to feature an OLED display. Apple was said to have placed orders for OLED panels from Samsung for the iPhone 8.”
